A man wanted by ICE has been charged with the rape of a minor in Tennessee.
Raymundo Juan Reyes Cornelio, 19, was charged with rape after his victim, then 11 years old, gave birth in February, leading to an investigation.
According to the X account Illegal Alien Crimes, Cornelio is wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on a detainer hold.
The victim, now 12, told investigators the sexual encounter with Cornelio happened in May 2024 after meeting on Facebook.
“From detail provided by the girl, a search warrant was executed on the suspect’s Facebook account, which produced his name and telephone number,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a press release. “Detectives learned that Cornelio was stopped for a window tint violation on March 1 by D-Detail Officer Kyle Casey and issued a state misdemeanor citation for driving without a license. The citation contained his Davidson County address.”
“Cornelio admitted to the sexual encounter with the girl when he was 18,” the department added. “He said he believed she was age 14 when it occurred.”
Cornelio is being held at the Downtown Detention Center in Nashville and bond is set at $75,000.
