Border Czar Homan: Illegal migrant releases in U.S. since Trump inauguration down 99.9995%!

According to Border Czar Tom Homan, nine illegal aliens have been released into the U.S. from Jan. 20 through April 1. And eight of those were material witnesses in a criminal case or medical emergency.

During that same stretch during the Biden administration last year? 184,241 releases. That’s a 99.9995% decrease.

Homan calls it The Trump Effect. And Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are looking for the 184,241.

“The leadership of President Trump has been a game changer,” Homan said on X.

Biden’s catch-and-release policies fueled the immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs.

The committee held a hearing titled, “The Consequences of Catch and Release at the Border,” in 2024 and reported that the Biden Administration failed to detain most illegal aliens during removal proceedings, releasing over 75 percent of illegal aliens encountered by Border Patrol in December 2023.

Besides an out-of-control influx of illegal aliens, the cost of providing services to the illegal migrants was estimated at $10 billion and counting. That’s not factoring in the sheer number of criminal illegal aliens who were released into the country and free to commit heinous crimes like rape and murder.

Matt O’Brien, Director of Investigations at the Immigration Reform Law Institute, testified at the hearing and said the system was completely overwhelmed. O’Brien previously ran the vetting program at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and said none of the agencies have the capacity to vet people in those numbers.

“Even more importantly, vetting is something that happens because people have a background that can be traced,” he said. “In the United States, from the time we’re born till the time we die, we’re laying down paper trail transactions…all of those things can be used to substantiate somebody’s identity. When you’re talking about someone coming from a rural village in Guatemala or places like Yemen, there aren’t any records like that. They don’t exist.”

Trump and Homan were left to clean up the mess. The latest U.S. Customs and Border Protection numbers show that during March, the southwest border saw the lowest number of crossings ever, with just 7,180 recorded.

President Donald Trump issued several executive orders to get a handle on illegal immigration on his first day in office. His administration has deported more than 100,000 illegal migrants so far, targeting the worst criminals first.

While the Trump administration continues its deportation efforts, states like Massachusetts are defying Trump’s orders and releasing illegals charged with horrific crimes on low bails, FOX News reports.

At least seven illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes, including child rape and fentanyl trafficking, were released by local law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts in recent months, according to CBS.
